Which Plans Include Grok Bot?

Facts and prices last checked October 20, 2026 · About a 5-minute read

Plans and prices can feel like the confusing part, so here's the short, honest version. We've linked every fact to the official page it came from, so you can check it yourself. Prices change, so the official pricing page always has the final word.

The Short Answer

  • ✓ Premium, Super, and Ultra include Grok Bot.[2]
  • ✗ Free and Plus don't include Grok Bot.[2][3]
  • ⓘ Premium is the lowest-priced plan on the pricing page that lists Grok Bot.[1]

What Each Plan Costs

Monthly list prices from the official pricing page, checked October 20, 2026. Taxes and fees are extra.
PlanPriceIncludes Grok Bot?
Free$0 a monthNo
Plus$8 a monthNo
Premium$30 a monthYes
Super$100 a monthYes
Ultra$200 a monthYes

Prices on the pricing page don't include taxes or fees, and they can change.[1] The pricing page also suggests Premium for people who are new to AI, Super for people who use agents every day, and Ultra for power users.[1]

How Much Can You Use It?

Every paid plan comes with a pool of usage that's shared across Grok and Cursor. Within Grok, it covers Chat, Imagine, Voice, and Bot. Your allowance refreshes every week, and higher plans include bigger pools.[1][4] Different activities use different amounts from the pool.[4]

No actual usage amount is published for any plan. The pricing page compares plans to each other. For example, Premium shows "4x more usage compared to Plus."[1] But none of the official pages we checked say how much usage that actually is, for Grok Bot or anything else. So we can't tell you, and please be wary of anyone who says they can. The honest way to find out is to watch your own usage for a week or two.

Where to see your usage: on The X Subscription, open Usage on grok.com/dashboard.[2][3] In the phone app, you can review your usage in Settings.[9]

Our advice: start with small, simple jobs in your first week and peek at your usage now and then. Big or long jobs use more, so you'll quickly get a feel for what fits your plan.

What Happens If You Run Out?

If you use up your weekly allowance, you can wait for it to refresh, or keep going with top-ups, which means buying extra usage credit.[1][4] You stay in charge of extra spending:

  • Auto Top-up is off unless you turn it on.[5]
  • You can set a monthly limit on extra usage. This is the setting that actually stops extra spending. Spending alerts only warn you; they don't stop anything.[5]
  • These settings are under Additional usage credits on grok.com/dashboard.[5][3]
Our advice: while you're learning, leave Auto Top-up off. If you ever do add credit, set a monthly limit at the same time. Then there are no surprises.

About Free Trials

The official help pages describe a Grok Bot free trial that works as a usage credit rather than a set number of days, with a 7-day window. A big or long job can use up most or all of it at once, and used credit isn't restored.[3]

A trial offered through the iPhone App Store is different: Apple runs it, and it turns into a paid Apple subscription when the trial ends unless you cancel first.[3] Apple suggests canceling at least 24 hours before a trial ends if you don't want it to renew.[7]

Already Have an Older Plan?

Some people already get Grok Bot through an older plan, such as a Cursor Pro, Pro+, or Ultra plan, or a SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, SuperGrok Heavy, or X Premium+ subscription linked to Grok Bot.[3] The official Plans and billing page has a table that shows each situation.[3]

  • You don't have to switch. If you don't switch to The X Subscription, your current plan continues.[2]
  • Some steps are permanent. Combining accounts under The X Subscription can't be undone, and neither can linking a SuperGrok or X Premium+ subscription to Grok Bot.[2][3] So take your time and read the official page first.

Buying and Canceling Safely

  • Buy only from the official website. The pricing page says subscriptions are sold only directly, with no authorized resellers, and accounts bought elsewhere may be suspended.[1]
  • You can cancel anytime. To avoid another charge, cancel at least 24 hours before your plan renews.[1]
  • Bought it on the web? Go to Billing & invoices on your grok.com dashboard, open the options on your plan, and follow the prompts.[6]
  • Bought it through Apple? On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.[7]
  • Bought it through Google Play or X? Cancel it there.[6][8]
